GlobalMalaysians.Com To Help Malaysians All Over The World To Network & Help One Another
Haha ... I just came across a new website with a great initiative:
GlobalMalaysians.Com - A project to link Malaysians globally.
Frankly, it is a good idea and effort :)
It seems that the website was just launched recently, 10 June 2005. Ok, first, let's see what information we can find out about it.
According to this The Star article, the Global Malaysians Network is:
and
Sounds good isn't it?
Eventhough there are already many forums and discussions groups where Malaysians from all over the world "meet" online and communicate with one another, it is still great to know that there is now another venue where fellow Malaysians can share and help one another through WIN/WIN collaborations :)
All the best for everyone involved in coming up with the idea and putting it together and especially for those who will make the best of it, may the force be with you and more power to you .. hehe. :)
cheers,

Welcome to ILuvMalaysia - I Love Malaysia
I Love Malaysia. Why? Because Malaysia is my homeland. I was bornt and grew up in the city of Johor Bahru, the capital of the state of Johore, in the southern part of Peninsula (West) Malaysia :)
I have spent my life studying and working in different parts of the world ... but mostly in Malaysia and Singapore. I like the fact that Malaysia is multi-racial. I like the fact that there is racial and religious tolerance among the people of this beautiful country. Eventhough the official religion of the country is Islam, the citizens of Malaysia have the freedom to be a Christian, Buddhist, Daoist, Hindu, Sikh, Bahai, etc. Thank God :)
I like the fact that we can speak different languages including but not limited to Bahasa Malaysia (the Malay language), English, Chinese (the official Mandarin Chinese language and the other dialects such as Cantonese, Hokkien, Teochew, Hainan, Hakka, Foochow, etc.), Indian (Tamil, Hindi, etc.), Iban, Bidayuh, Kadazan, etc. etc.
Apart from Johor Bahru, I have been to and worked in Kuala Lumpur (capital of Malaysia), Malacca, Negeri Sembilan, etc. ... and they are all nice places to work ... in their own ways. Eventhough the standard of living is quite different and even the lifestyle also, each is unique in its own ways. I appreciate the uniqueness and differences :)
I am now based in the city of Kuching, the capital city of the state of Sarawak in East Malaysia (Borneo). I love this place very much ... just like the other parts of Malaysia. The people here are so kind and friendly. The culture here is so colourful and exciting. There is so much greenery and so many trees here in so much dense jungle. The air here is so much cleaner. Eventhough there is much more rain here and heavier ... it is actually nice too. Yep, rain or shine ... it is always nice. Thank God :)
Malaysia is a country that anyone can succeed in life and achieve their goals and ambitions as long as they are diligent. One is judged not by his race, religion, educational level, or family background .... but by his ability and willingness to work very hard.
No country in this world is perfect. No government in this world is perfect. But Malaysia is as perfect as it can be for now and I thank God for that :)
sincerely,
matakecil
